Windows 7: how to install 7 on an Acer Aspire laptop?

hello i have just bought an Acer Aspire laptop with Vista and i would like to install Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
i put the dvd in drive and tried hitting f11 and f10 but it just carries on going to vista,does anyone know how i can boot from dvd please?

You will need to set your DVD player as primary boot device...

Just boot up in the regular manner. Before you see the splash screen continually hit the f key that will bring you to the bios screen, set that to boot from DVD. Now turn off the computer, and put the DVD in and boot up. You are good to go.

do you know which f key to use please?

I have a Dell it is f12. Every manufacturer has it set differently. Use your computer manual, look

up Bios screen. But you could try f2 or f12, they are common.

Its usually displayed during POST which key you need to press to access setup...

u must set enable bootable frm dvd like they said.save then restart then when acer shows up press F12.
