Remind me: you downloaded the latest drivers or both your card and monitor?
did all drivers via windows update then as that didnt work so went to nvidia site and downloaded the windows 7 drivers for my LE 7300.
Have you tried booting up in Safe Mode? If you can, that could give us some insight into the problem.
Also, when do you get this message? Can you ever see anything on your monitor, like during the POST?
I'm on a multiboot setup.
I select it from the list and get error asking to start in safe which i can no probs
While in Safe Mode, can you go into Device Manager and uninstall the drivers for both the graphics card and monitor? Then reboot into normal mode.
I removed both drivers for my video the Vista and 7 ones, and to my amazment it's actually working in dual view too!
Jon if u weren't 4000 miles away i'd buy you a beer.
Thanks for curing my headache
Have a good new year
Great! Let me assure you, there is no better feeling than finally solving a difficult problem.
Uninstalling the driver didnt work I had to completely disable the device all together.
But @ least I know i have to upgrade my graphics card now.
Thanks again
MS paid manufacturers to build most of the Win7 drivers in the WHQL program, to assure that they wouldn't hold out on drivers to force us to buy newer hardware as they did with Vista, and to have the drivers first in the installer and via Windows Updates.
You can normally trust the drivers provided by MS with Win7 because they have almost all of them. Just doublecheck if you have problems.
