I have done tried to do a clean install with an upgrade disc on a new formatted hdd and but when I type the product key in it says "the product key is not vaild" the key is correct and it worked when I used it on the same pc before I needed to re format, oh and its not conected to the internet as I need to get windows on so I can put my wep code in.

    Any ideas

Did you try unchecking the automatic validate key? I've attached a link to a guide that may help.

Easy question Do not give your number until you are installed. Then if it gives you trouble it gives you a number to call.

Hi are you saying that when you get to the part in set-up where it asks for the key (and you don't tick the little box about activating online) you just don't put anything in the box and then click next leaving the key code boxes empty?

You got it You then have 30 days to give the number. If the number does not work you use a phone to put the number in.If that does not work you are given to aperson. Just be honest and clear and he will activate for you.

    Hope I have helped
