Windows 7: 7000 to 7048 upgrade, no go

12 Mar 2009   #11

Windows 7 x64

Don't think you need to remove any piece of hardware. just uninstall the third party hardware drivers and your security softwares before upgrading.

KERNELBASE.dll is a "core" dll for windows 7... kind of odd. something installed(third party driver/software) must be messing up during the upgrade.

You're probably better off waiting for the build 7057 x64 to leak on the web and retry to upgrade your build 7000 with this version, or go for a fresh intall.

How do I upgrade from 7000?
Hi I installed Win 7 x64 on a new computer, on the last day the beta of 7000 was available. I have Windows Updates turned on, so I thought I'd be notified of beta updates, but I just checked, and I'm still on 7000. How/where do I download updates? And can I install them over 7000? I assume...

Hello, I tried to install 7048 X86 over my X86 7022 installation, all seemed to go well until the pc had to restart after reaching 62% of transferring files, programs and settings. On restarting, I repeatedly got BSODs, stating a problem with inspect.sys. Just a heads-up folks, maybe it...
