Usually, it typically installs into C:\Program Files (x86)\

If it has a 16-bit installer it will not work, MOST 32-bit apps will work, though you may need to fiddle with the compatibility mode settings on the installer and then again on the app itself...

    Welcome to Seven Forums.

As mlevy mentioned, most 32bit software applications will run from Win7 64bit OS.
The exception being ones with 16bit installers.

If you have any problems try compatibility mode.
This Seven Forums tutorial explains it.

    Compatibility Mode

    Hope this helps.

Urm ... Nero, Corel Paint Shop Pro, Canon MP600 Drivers, IVT BlueSoleil (bluetooth software), I'm guessing AVG and Office 2007 will work lol.

    Nero - has been updated

Cannon drivers- Are there Vista drivers available? try installing in compatibly mode (otherwise you may be out of luck)

Corel Paint Shop Pro - Don't know. There are other alternatives.

Bluetooth - Any particular features you need from IVT the app? Bluetooth connectivity is already available in Seven.

The best way to find out if they will install is to try to install them.

16 bit installers are not common if the software in question is a fairly recent version--in the last 2 or 3 years.

For instance, Photoshop 7 has a 16 bit installer, but it is maybe 5 or 6 years old? Newer versions of Photoshop use 32 bit installers.

Just try to install and see what error messages you get, if any. You may have to use 32 bit if you have an application with a 16 bit installer that you cannot or will not upgrade.
