Win7 Installation

If a win 7 installation fails after submitting the product number can I use that installation disk to install on another computer?
Thanks.

Try the installation in the normal fashion. Do not give your number and uncheck the box asking if you want to activate automatically. When you are done, give your number then. If it does not work you will be supplied with a phone number to input the number with a touch tone phone. If that does not work a person will come on and try to work out the problem

Thanks for the quick reply.
It is a retail disk, and I figured since I could not install it and had not activitated it, it would be possible to install on another Cpr.
Hope I am right.

Choose the compter that you want and install as I have explained. The key, if good will work.

Any Windows 7 retail version besides OEM can migrate to the computer of your choice, as long as it is on only one at a time.

Did you try to troubleshoot the failed installation?

I think the answer to your original question is yes. As long as the software is not an OEM version, you can move it to another computer. If you haven't activated it, then no problem.
