i was thinking you could help get gid rid of old windows 7, along with data partion so i have 1 big hard Drive again xD and no longer dual booting xD
Confirm that you copied all of your data out of the data partition.
Copy the contents of the folders (not the folders themselves) into the corresponding folder in new Win7 partition. Select all files on upper left Organize menu, drag them to corresponding folder in new Win7 partition in the explorer list at left.
Then delete the contents of DATA partition, but leave the partition in place.
In Computer, right click on DATA partition, select Properties, at top of page change the label to Backup Image, apply
Now type Backup into start search box, select Backup and Restore result at top, select Create a System Image
Imaging app will auto detect the Backup Image partition on HD, select to save there, click Next.
Now test that the backup image works by booting into Win7 DVD Repair console, select Recover Using An Image, see if it auto-detects the image and cues it up okay.
When you are finished with this, I will give you the steps to remove the old Win7 partition.
i have copied all my stuff over, but do i really need to make an system image, in the end i only want 1 drive, so in computer i can only see OS and no other drives
You need a Win7 Backup Image. How else would you recover if something bad happens?
It is built into Win7, so why not use it?
You never have to reinstall Win7 again, just reimage from the backup partition in 15 minutes using your DVD.
That way you have the same protection as when you buy a new computer and have a Recovery partition, except you have a clean install with no bloatware like factory recov partitions.

btw I get a warning says: The drive selected is on the same physical disk as being backed up. If the disk fails you will lose ur backups
When you get an external HD then copy the backup image from it's partition to the external so you have a backup in case of HD failure.
Delete data from Vista partition if image is too big to save at first.
Post back full Disk Management drive map screenshot when you are done.
Okay, when you say cues up okay? does that mean like boots from the back up image?
This time and let me choose which OS i wanted to back up, so i just choose the new one
Backup image cannot boot. You reimage the HD by booting into the Win7 DVD, selecting Repair My Computer, and then Recover Using A System Image.
It should auto-detect the Backup Image partition since it's primary formatted.
Just go through those steps to make sure it discovers image in its partition, then click the next step to make sure it's good to go and then exit. Don't click any further or it will reimage the HD - no problem tho since it only takes 15 minutes and you have the same HD back again.
