USB flash drive/ DVD drive problem

    What you describe sounds like an Explorer problem similar to bugs we had in early betas.

    But since it doesn't happen with your same installer on laptop then it is not installer.

    And with all the reinstalls it is not the OS.

    So it sounds like hardware or an app problem.

    If it was just flash, it would be suspect, but it happens copying to disk, too?

    Any other ideas out there?

    yea, could it be that these hardwares arent 64 bit compatible? (the other installs i've done were 32 bits)

    edit: memory test is completed, no problem =/. sfc /scannnow shows no problem neither.

    You can shrink partition in Disk Management, install 32 bit in that space to test it on a dual boot for awhile.

    When you decide, we can help you remove the other.

    Remember you need to boot the 32 bit installer, won't run from your Win7.
