keyboard doesnt work after upgrade windows 7

first of all I'm from Holland and not a wizzkid, much of the things I read I don't really understand what its about, also because of the english versus dutch terminology for things..
Hopefully somebody can help me out (i have a friend who understands computerstuff a lot better, seeing him tomorow to trie to fix the problem)
I bought a hp pavillion dv 7 with 'free' upgrade for windows 7. Ordered it and tried to install but compatibility report stated to update driver keyboardfilter first and that I had to remove certain software, (games, skype and ATI catalist install manager/control center), removed games and skype but couln't find the ATI thing to remove. I also could not find keyboardfilter and updated anything to do with keyboards. Then started upgrade but it got stuck on finalising.. so had to quit.. eversince the keyboard doesn't work. Got depressed about it and left it for a while .. Yesterday full hope tried again and found out that I could put keyboard on the screen, so I could at least type again and finally get into my laptop, tried again to update all possible, reinstalled the upgrade manager cd and this time it worked! So according to my computer windows 7 is perfectly installed with all recent driver updates etc, me happy thought to be smart but keyboard still doesn't work. I found 2 problems (triangle with exclamationmark) which computer itself cannot solve; 1: driverprogram 'synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad' - problem with starting (code10)
2:standard 101/102 - key or microsoft natural PS/keyboard wi th HP QLB - the digital signature that is needed cannot be checked. Possible that after recent hardware or software change, a file is insalled that is incorrectly signed or is damaged or damaged software from unknown sorce is installed (code 52)
I had to translate this from dutch so excuse any clumsyness..
    What to do??????

The drivers are in that link for your keyboard and touchpad, so unzip those files to your desktop, click on each of those devices in the Device Manager, use Driver tab to Update driver, browsing to the folders on desktop to pick up the drivers.

Your friend should be able to help you, or post back for more help.

I've worked myself through the site, it's going to be a lot of work and is slightly complicated for me eventhough I now at least understand whats going on.. the computer knowlagebles around me suggest to make a clean install, so take all off and start all over.. but as I understand even then I will have to make some stuff with the drivers.. so since I only bought the hp pavillion 6 months ago they suggest to go back to the shop with it and let them do it for the price of 50 euro.. I bought it there they advertise the upgrade to be easy.. so let them do it and take responsibility. I can't stand it, want to be clever myself but maybe it is the most clever thing to do?? Fixing the driver problem will not solve a bad installation my friends say.. maybe I should stick a note on with the link.. just in case I mean 50 euro is like not even one busineshour right! THANKS a lot and I will be in touch about it, the link and further information was very helpfull and even inspiring in understanding this type of technology!

If you want to learn more about your computer, then do it yourself. We can help.

Why not try replacing the problem drivers now in the Device Manager? You may not have to reinstall.
