Forgot Password on Windows Easy Transfer

Issue:

Used Windows Easy Transfer in Windows XP 2 months ago, unfortunately, I forgot the password. Currently, attempting to migrate the said files on Windows 7.

Is there a way to recover my files saved on the .MIG file from Windows Easy Transfer?

Is there a way to bypass the password?

Tried MigRecover, but does not work...

Help anyone...

If you did not do a clean install (format) all the files are in a file called windows.old.
It will be a pain to cut and paste and or drag. But everything will be there.

I'm afraid you might have hit a dead end here, the password is something that you had declared into the system. If there were a workaround with passwords then we would all be in deep security trouble. Sorry

dude... you dont know how many times i walked into Best buy and changed all of their stuff....because they fail to activate the admin account and put the password on it.... and it would be kind of suspcious if i sat there sticking a DVD in their driver trying to hack it...but anyways....

you got to understand with american products... we don't make them flawless like the Germans... they break down quick so that they can come back and upgrade or get them fix.... its all about the cheese
