    RAID

setup the RAID controller in your bios then like I said download all your SATA/RAID drivers from board company website then unzip them and place the files on a USB flash drive just the files not in a folder when you are at the partition screen during setup choose load driver then browse to your flash drive select that and continue the install it will load the drivers it needs good luck

    Bios

make sure SATA controller is set to RAID there may be more RAID options as for what type of RAID you want I don't know what Bios you have so I can't say for certain your exact settings but you at least have to select SATA as RAID it just depends on what level of RAID your board supports as to what you can do

got it figured out. i did need to use the usb drive to load the drivers. my issue was with the SATA setup in BIOS: i guess i had all SATA ports setup to RAID and then it wouldn't read my CD/DVD drive. shenanigans. also, when i first setup the RAID config in the RAID BIOS, it had some setting where it automatically only partitions 10% of the open space on the drives...weird. in any case, it's up and running with RAID 0.

    THANKS!
