    Error installing XP to dual boot with Windows 7


    Hi to everyone!
    I'm trying to install XP, but i recieve this error and i am so frustrated.
    Any help would be an oasis.

    Your Windows 7 install is normal?

    Looks like it is using the wrong encoding, or a problem with language.

    Untill July 2009 i had vista x64.
    A month ago i installed 7 x64 but not a clean install, i just upgraded my HP laptop to 7 because i didnt want to lose my 500GB files!

    Did you make a second partition in Win7 Disk Management to install XP?

    Then booted XP CD to install there? When exactly does the blue screen error occur?

    Try deleting the formatting on XP partition from Win7 Disk Mgmt, then let XP installer format it NTFS

    Yes i created a new partition.
    The blue screen occurs when the insallation finishes loading the nessecary files, the installation does not even start...
