reserved partition...help

    He installed on the secondary (new) drive while the primary (old) drive was still installed. The boot files for the new install were placed in the system reserved partition on the primary (old) hard drive.

    I was trying to get the secondary hard to take over the job of primary and set it to system instead of the old drive. My suggestion will work.......

    I agree and was only going on to address OP's stated desire to format the first HD with Sys Reserved partition.

    Figured it would not delete in Disk Mgmt and needed to be done with DISKPART partition force delete command, except that since he wanted the whole drive wiped might as well just use CLEAN command on whole DISK, correct?

    I should have asked and waited for a full Disk Management drive map screenshot.

    OP, can you post this screenshot using Snipping Tool in Start Menu, attaching file with paper clip in reply box?

    Heh, Gregrocker's instructions were correct in my mind. I just cautioned it because I wasn't sure exactly how aware the OP was of his computer's current configuration.
