Is it a Windows 7 install disk??

Maybe it is just a driver's disc they forgot to send you.

Does its contents match your Windows 7 install disc? If not, it is probably a support disc.

Keep it and use it, whatever it is.

It looks like it has both versions of Win 7, but I must assume it is an OEM version. If that is the case, then it may not work on the OLD XP machine, or I guess I should say not activate.

Have you checked to see if the key is the same as the one on your laptop?

Try booting it to install to a second partition you create on your XP computer. Wait to use Win7 DVD Custom Drive Tools to format the partition. This will allow you to use Upgrade key if it is generic, but it may already be locked to the machine it is intended.

I'd check first to see if it has the same key as your previous Upgrade, as you don't want to deactivate it on your Toshiba if it is willing to activate on your XP machine.

If it is a clerical error of some kind where they sent you 2 Win 7 install discs when you were only entitled to one, it is their error and your windfall. If it has a separate key, you are in. If it has the same key, consider it a free backup to the earlier disc.
