    Windows 7 installation fails

I have my current OS which is Vista ultimate and decided to upgrade it to windows 7. But first i reformatted my computer with a fresh installation of VIsta ultimate and then installing the drivers. And then i upgrade it to Windows 7.

All went right, but then after that when i almost arrived at the end of the installation windows 7 failed to install, then a message pops up saying i should restart my installation.

When i rebooted again my computer there are two option, windows 7 and windows setup. when i choose the windows 7 the error message appears, and when i choose the windows setup a cmd appears.

what should i do? how should i restart the installation? please help...

Was the Windows 7 install an upgrade or a clean install?

How many hard drives in the PC?

How many partitions on each drive?

Restart the installation from scratch... do a custom/clean install rather than an upgrade..if you are using an upgrade disc, follow Brinks tutorial -=> here
