    not yet installed, but...

Please move to the correct place if this is not relevant to being included in the original post. I have not yet installed Windows 7 and have a question: How will installing Win7 on my Vista x64 install affect the Vista bootloader? And, because this is a beta, when I remove the OS, what impact will it have on the Vista bootloader? Will I have to install a 3rd party app to remove the Windows 7 entry in the bootloader?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
I assume you are doing a clean install on another partition, keeping Vista separate.
If so the only thing that will happen is that Windows 7 will become the default operating system. They use the same boot loader. You can type "msconfig" (without the quotes) into the start search box , hit enter and then under the boot tab you can change the default back to Vista if you like. You can also delete Windows 7 from the boot loader here as well, when you get ready to.

yes, i would be installing it to a separate partition and a separate drive altogether, for that matter. thanks for the reply and info. i've had the iso since MS released the public beta, just never installed it. anyway, thanks again.
