Windows 7 Wont Install

One thing at a time:

Does your PC have only 1 hard drive?

How many partitions are on the hard drive?

Do you want to end up with just Windows 7 or do you want to keep both Windows 7 and XP on this PC?

Well i have a onboard video and a video card if the onbaord is still working will this cause it to not install. should i use the onboard and take the other video card out and try that?? that sounds like a legitmate reason that it would not be working. yes my pc only has one hd and it has just the one partition and yes i want to end up with just windows 7.

Yes it is a very good idea to disconnect the video card during install probs such as you are having.

You can reconnect it and load its driver after install. Windows Update will likely update the driver soon after.

Look in the BIOS and confirm that your onboard video is enabled. If it is not, enable it and save the changes and exit. If you can enable it, get the other video card completely out of the slots.

I did that just used onboard and no go. But i think i might be able to get some where now i got the bosd and it said .

If any one can help me with this error that would be fantastic i think this is my problem.

Well i gave up on installing it i guess there is nothing i can do to fix it so thanks for all the advice.

ive tried loading it from xp and every way you think could be possible.

Try scanning your HD with the manufacturer diagnostic software.
