I never heard of such a thing.
As far as I know, if you have a legitimate Windows 7 upgrade disk, you never have to "go back to Vista" to do a clean install. You can always just boot from the DVD, choose custom install, delete all partitions, and go from there.
Regardless of what was previously on the drive.
