Install w/o acpi? Or at least allow IRQ mgmt?
Windows 7 installs on my machine just fine, but due to being unable to manage my own irq's, my wireless pci card is sharing its irq. I know this is a problem with this particular card. I had Sabayon Linux installed on this same desktop just prior, and since it let me manage my irq's I had this problem when I first installed Sabayon but switched the irq around so the wireless card had its own, and then it worked.
(The problem is that my wireless card finds networks and connects but will randomly be unable to load any webpage for blocks of time up to 7-8 minutes. My connection is actually usable about an extremely random %30 of the time.)
I'm trying to install Win7 without acpi, because I need to either control this irq, or change my operating system, because the internet and blu ray movies are the only non-work reasons I use my computer. It has a conflict under Win7 w/ ACPI in each of my two pci slots, so that's no fix. I need to either not have apci so I can control my own irq's, or control my own irq's some other way, but I haven't found any way to do that despite excess Googling.
Is there any way to get Win7 w/o ACPI, or am I wasting my time?
P.S. You don't need it, but my hardware specs are there in the corner.
