Upgrade 7000 -> 7057: Setup keeps rebooting

Hello everybody!
I tried installing the upgrade build 7057 over 7000 (x86) and it seemed to work fine. But then Windows 7 boots into the message "preparing your desktop for first use". It follows the message "Setup will continue after restarting your computer" and after ca. 1 Minute it restarts and does exactly the same. I tried that for about 5 times and it keeps doing that. No error messages.

Did anybody have this problem as well? Any ideas for troubleshooting?

Thank you guys!

Addition: I have just seen that people have problems with Norton 360, which I have installed, too. Maybe I can boot into safemode and remove Norton - I will try this tonight and report.

O.K., I tried the safe mode, but this gives me a message saying that I cannot use safe mode while in setup. And then I see the "Setup will continue after restarting your computer"screen again.

Remove any virtuel drive like deamon tool or virtuel clone before you upgrade

OK, I had tried to install daemon tools, but it failed. I do also have isobuster installed. However, can I rollback the upgrade now?

I Think its too late in the process just do a clean install, its like like everything is on it.

Sounds like your best option is to format the drive from XP or Vista (assuming you have this installed on a seperate partition) then do a clean 7057 install.

Thanks! I have deleted it and installed the 7057 from the scratch - this time the 64 bit edition!

7057 upgrade question.
Are branch builds of RC1 capable of using windows update to bring it up to the later RC builds? or will it be like the beta's and require a fresh install or upgrade? I ask, because if 7057 is a RC branch build, then it would be convenient if I could just use windows update the rest of the time...

7057 is Slow vs 7000
Anyone else had problems with 7057 x64 being slower then the 7000 beta? With 7000 everything was really snappy and pretty much bug free at least for me. Now with 7057 I have tried both the upgrade from 7000 and a clean install of it but most things seem to take a really long time. Games and...

7000 vs 7057
What do you guys think? I've had 7000 for at least a month and after some rocky start, everything worked out fine and the system was very reliable. But then of course I had to go for the new one, and I installed 7057. And now everything is crashing, everyday. Yesterday my wireless card...

OK to upgrade build 7000 to 7057?
Is this okay? Has anyone done this? I read some problems in general when upgrading one version of Windows 7 to another, but is this common? Thanks.

7000 is fine, but 7057 is no good for me
I have a very strange problem that I cannot seem to find an answer to - making it doubly frustrating. Hopefully, someone can give me some idea of what to do. I have used 7000 since it was first available and suffered no problems whatsoever. However, since installing 7057 I cannot watch any video...
