TIP - When you run into "error writing to Config.Msi"

This is what you need to do.

I've figured out exactly what messes up the Config.Msi folder that stops you from installing or uninstalling software such as Microsoft Expression Web 3.

This is what you need to do.

1. Shut off all of your Antivirus software.

2. Turn off firewall such as ZoneAlarm Pro.

3. Delete the old Config.Msi folder.

4. Create a NEW Config.Msi folder.

5. Right click on the new Config.Msi folder and choose properties.

6. Go to the "Security" tab and give FULL permissions to "Authenticated Users" & "Users (XXXX\Users)"

7. Click ok to close everything out and try reinstalling or installing. This is only when you run into the writing error to the Config.Msi folder.

Good luck!
