Will a Repair Install Fix the Windows Installer 5.0 ??

I had an issue with the .MSI Windows Installer (imbedded in Windows 7).

I followed some bad advice and deleted via Regedit. Windows Installer 5.0 is NOT available for download as a stand alone program.

So I'm pondering doing a Repair Install.

Will doing so Reinstall the Windows Installer Program ?

Yes it should seeing as its a windows file.
Repair install replaces the Windows files from the disc.

I actually went back (using the Recovery Disc), to do a RESTORE from a recent Restore Point.

Worked Perfect!
