    Weird XP Installation issue

    Hi everybody,

Everytime I try to install Windows XP to have a dual boot with Windows 7, I get to the blue option screen where to select the hard drive I want to install Windows XP on. Then I get 4 options but they all say: No harddrive detected. Then I tried it with another CD from my mom but then it didn't even show any options.
Anybody knows how to fix this?

For right now yes... you will need to install those drivers before you continue with your installation of XP..

It seems strange to me folks would be needing SATA drivers. I have been installing on a 8 year old desktop and never needed those drivers.

Do you know if you have the SATA controller set to IDE or AHCI in the bios?
