Cannot upgrade because of hard drive

I am unable to complete the upgrade and get stuck at the very last part every time (i think transferring files and programs), it gets stuck at 58% and then reverts back to windows vista. I have run the windows upgrade advisor, and they only mentioned a Marvel 61xx (or 6121) raid controller driver, they said the compatability of this is unknown. I am running a 64 bit AMD phenom quad core, with 2 300gb Maxtor hard drives set up as a RAID-1 on the Marvel 6121 raid controller. Any help would be greatly appreciate, for I have been working non-stop attempting o fix this issue.

I just read about the 62% problem, and I said 58% because that's what I saw last and fell asleep, only to wake up to Windows saying the instal was unsuccessful and is reverting back to Vista

Where would you normally get upgrades for your RAID drivers?

Go there and see if there are Windows 7 drivers and if they come in a setup you can use to load during the Win 7 install. If so, you can load drivers during the install but using the button on the bottom of the screen.

Well I initially couldn't even get the upgrade actually going becasue it was showing a driver problem with my AHCI Raid controller, I ended up downloading a driver to get this problem resolved and the upgrade going. Even after reslving this issue the compatibiity detector still said it was unknown if the marvel 61xx controller is compatible with windows 7. Regardless, I am able to get the download going and it gets to the last stage of transferring files and programs up to around 62% completion before saying the upgrade was unsuccessful and the comp. reverts back to windows vista. I am trying to see if the 62% fix it patch allows me to successfully complete the download. Any help would be much aprreciated.
