setting up raid0 filesystem after install
My plan is to setup with a Velociraptor as my boot drive (until ssd's are worth it) and a raid0/5 for files.
(I have no inclination of having a raided boot disk, only ever saw a slight improvement in boot and app load times, but there is a huge boost in performance in rendering and batch converting video and photo files or anything else that relys entirely on sequential writes.)
My MB supports raid, so it's just a question of installing the driver into Windows 7, but I've never setup a raid this way, or even added an array to an existing raid, and don't really know if it's a simple, involved or an impossible task. Especialy with a non raid boot disk.
Any input would be great.
(MB is asus M4N72-E)
