Chris, Did you try this? I am getting ready to install 7 on a friends old xp pc that they are not using. They would prefer the install to be an upgrade. Just wondering how good that works. Thanks. lm

I did not.. i read in the forum somewhere that there was a block on xp upgrade to 7... and even tried on the E6500 i'm on now... i had the dell xp install on there... tried to put 7 on top of that keeping all my drivers, but it was a no go.. so i upgraded that to vista sp1, then did an upgrade to win 7.. .. i ended up not likeing the "upgrade" result, so i put a fresh copy of 7...
