Novice question on migrating installed program to new system

    Greetings.

Over the years, I've installed a few programs on a number of different machines, mostly W7x32. Now it's time to consolidate them under one system, except the original installation software is no longer available.

How does one go about doing this? And if possible, migrate to new W7x64/W10x64 system?

    Many thanks and best regards,

Wow do you have experience with this SIW2? I've not seen this before and it looks very cool, allowing one to choose individuals Applications, Files, and Accounts to transfer.

Yes "a bit of effort" would be needed as the OP would likely have duplicates of some Applications for example, each with different settings, and have to choose "which one to transfer".

Thanks for the post--I might just use this myself to consolidate some of my PCs into a single machine.

If you're moving everything into one machine, be sure to make an image backup after it's set up. I go one step further than that, having 2 other machines with the same programs in case I need to repair or toss my primary one. They're all 8 to 10-year-old machines, and I know various components besides the HD can blow. I will NOT be going out to buy a new Win10 machine if a 7 dies.

Are we talking of new PC? If your just upgrading to 10 from 7 everything will work. If your going from 32 bit to 64 bit it may be a problem lots of software need a different version for 64 bit
