dual boot w/ Ubuntu, need to uninstall Ubuntu

Hey all I am new here. I recently did a dual boot install of Ubuntu with my Home Premium Windows 7 machine. I need to figure out how to uninstall Ubuntu and the grub loader... any thoughts?

I installed Windows 7 first... Ubuntu 64 desktop edition came after.

I shrunk my Windows 7 partition to install Ubuntu.

If you need more information, let me know, and thanks in advance.

Hello Konstantinov, and welcome to Windows Seven Forums!

Baisically, you just need to delete the two Ubuntu partitions, then restore the bootmgr from Windows 7. Please look these over and post back any questions?

MBR - Restore Windows 7 Master Boot Record

Remove Grub - Restore Windows 7

    Cheers!

Awesome, thanks Robert! Now I just have to write this all down lol. I really did like Ubuntu (I installed it to try out Compiz w/ Gnome) but I need a new hard drive before I go and install two OSs on my machine. (I would just use a virtual machine but I have yet to find a program that will allow me to use adequate video w/ the virtual system). Anyway, thanks again.

    You are quite welcome!

I have Ubuntu installed with Sun's VirtualBox and they do have issues with the video driver. Very limiting, but it does give one a safe way to see the inside of Ubuntu.

    Have you looked at WUBI?

    Cheers!

Hey Robert, thanks again for pointing me in the right direction! I had heard of WUBI, but was under the impression that you would need to modify a partition for it as well. Thanks! Kind of excited now lol.

hahaha O man, thanks again Robert. I feel like such a nimrod. You know that WUBI you mentioned? Apparently that's what I installed... I was just using a CD to install it!!! hahaha O man I'm a dork, I can't believe that just happened... Well here I go to install it again! (this time I'll use a smaller space for the Ubuntu part)... (if I can)
