Somewhat Screwed?

Hey all,

While installing windows 7 7057 onto another laptop my father carelessly plugged in his ipod causing what I'm only guessing of the installing to F up.

It just keeps hanging at the "Setting up computer for first use screen" then enters the "setup will continue after restart screen" Computer restarts and the process happens again and again....

Is there anyway I can fix this without losing my files, I didn't have this problem with other win 7 installations on a one other laptop and desktop.

Thanks.

Do you have an app. you can boot in with to transfer your files to an external HD ?

Worth doing it now, just in case.

Yeah just copied my files over to an external HDD and now doing a custom install previously did upgrade as it worked on another laptop. Hopefully this should work.
