Windows Cannot Install Required Files Whenever I try to install windows I get an error saying, Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code 0x080070001. I know there is nothing wrong with the iso I burned because I have used it to install Windows 7 on my laptop. Oh and if it helps I had Windows 7 on this computer before but my explorer.exe messed up and now it won't let me reinstall Windows. Anyone know what I can do to fix my Windows not installing?

Try booting from the DVD, not OS. Set your BIOS to boot from CD?DVD, not the Hard drive. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

Sometimes this error can result from a faulty CD/DVD or even HDD drive ... also check that the CD/DVD isn't damaged or of poor quality. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (Build 7600) CPU AMD Phenom Quad core 9950 black edition Motherboard Gigabyte Memory 8Gb Graphics Card 2x XFX Radeon 5850 Sound Card PCI Express X-Fi Titanium / Logitech G35 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP 2410i Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU Jean Tech Storm 700W Case Cooler Master COSMOS S Cooling Akasa Evo Blue Pro Hard Drives 1x 500Gb Seagate
