    SATA Drivers

Having some problems with SATA drivers. Basically, I'm setting up a dual boot with XP and 7. I have 2 harddrives, one running XP, the other I'll be installing 7 to. The problem that I'm having is when I select the secondary drive in the installer, it says I can't install it there. So I made a driver disk from my Mobo's disk and tried to load the SATA drivers off of there. It finds the drivers, but it says that none of them are compatible with my hardware. Furthermore, about 10 files show up and I have no idea which one is right. Uhh...help? My mobo is an Asus P5Q Pro.

    Download Drivers

    Unzip IMSM_V890123.zip

Open folder IMSM_V890123>IMSM_V890123>Driver>AsMakeDisk.exe & make your SATA drive Disk.

Did that, and the same thing happened. Nothing comes up in the list when, "Hide drivers that are not compatible with this hardware" is checked. a list of I don't know how many files comes up when I uncheck it. Should I be using one of those even though it says it isn't compatible?

You have two of the same size drive. Are you sure you are trying to install where you think you are?

Keep in mind what might show as Drive 0 or 1 isn't as important as what the bios shows as drive order.

Yes, I'm positive it's the right drive. It says that 99% of it is free, as opposed to the other drive, which is only 67% free.
