Laptop HDD partitions got switched by mistake

In trying to correct the problem with a thumb drive partition table I cause a different one on my laptop HDD.

I was using software called “Partition Data Recovery Doctor” where after thinking the utility had fixed the issue and asked me to save the correction. It actually caused the HDD to switch the C partition to the D partition and vise-versa. Now when
I boot up instead of windows starting up, Acer E-Recovery Management software loads and I do not know what software could be used in DOS to help correct this.

    Your help is appreciated!

Have you tried a Startup Repair? You may need to run it as many as 3 times.

Also make sure the C partition is set as Active. Follow the instructions here for marking the OS partition as active.
