I can't boot my windows 7 system. Because I format C.

Hi,
I can't boot my windows 7 system. Because I format C .
There is vista system in C. I had dual-boot ago. I don't need vista again. So I format it. Windows 7 is in F.
Now I can't enter into windows 7 system. It's nothing only black. How can I do now? please help me. Thank you.

since you were dual booting (vista, and win 7) win 7 put boot files in a hidden folder called boot. You are going to have to do a repair install from you win 7 dvd.

You may have to run it a few times.

You will need to make the Win 7 partition active. You can do that using Diskpart during the repair, or use a third party partitioning software like GParted or Partition Wizard. Then run the startup repair.

Hello Chen:

If Windows 7 Startup Repair will not write the MBR to Windows 7 when run three separate times with reboots, then you need to mark it Active first.

Boot into DVD Repair console, click through to Recovery Tools list, open a Command Line, type:

DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK # (replace # with Windows 7 HD)
LIST PARTITION
SELECT PARTITION # (for Windows 7 partition)
ACTIVE
EXIT

Now return to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots, as it will try to repair and then write the MBR to Windows 7 which was previously on Vista partition.
