Windows 7 Restarting Problem

I want to dual - boot XP and Windows 7. I have set up 2 partitions of which the XP partition is active, and the windows is secondary. I run the install fine, but when it comes to restart, It restarts and XP boots. I looked where 7 was supposedly installed, but there were no files. Tried to boot from that partition but it wouldn't do it. Any suggestions? THANKS

Fixed

OK, after a lot of messing around finally it worked. I had to set my other partition active, and let the repair function of the 7 redo the startup. Now its working great
