    Re-Install:

Im having some severe problems with my comp, in the last day it BSOD 6 times. I'm trying to eliminate problem by problem and wanted to know about an OS reinstall. I took it to a computer specialist store and they ran all sorts of tests on it, but concluded that my PC was fine, which is BS.

I bought an OEM version of Vista 64 to put on my comp, and then 4 months later I got the Windows 7 upgrade. If I whipe out the OS, do I have to re-instal Vista and then 7 over top of that again? Or is there a way where I can repair it? Thanks.

You won't need to reinstall Vista. Read this and post back if you need further help: Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

Try a few other things first:

Run sfc /scannow to check integrity of System Files. Watch carefully if it repairs/replaces any, or reports unfixable corruption.

Next run a Repair Install which is an Upgrade over itself in Win7. This is the last step before clean reinstall. It can fix many problems so give it a shot.

Have you checked the event viewer to see if any errors or warnings are showing up that might help track down the cause of the Blue Screens?
