1)Copy the boot files from your old HD to your new HD.
2) Remove old Hd.
3) Do a startup-repair.
You may need to do startup repair 3 to 4 times.

Make your New HD disk0.

Boot into your D drive and mark C drive active in Disk management, shut down.
Unplug D drive and plug its cable into C drive, or change C drive to first HD to boot in BIOS setup, after DVD drive.
Now boot Win7 DVD, select Repair console on second screen, click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots, as it will attempt to repair before rewriting MBR to C.
Once Win7 starts independently on C, you can plug D back in to delete and format in Disk Mgmt or using 3rd party partition manager like Partition Wizard CD.
