What happens after beta?

Does anyone know, will MS make it possible to upgrade back to Vista or the new Windows 7 without losing any data/files? I'm using 7 now, but thinking about switching back to Vista. I would hate to have to format my HD just to upgrade.

The real question is why do you need to switch back to Vista? Windows 7 is superior in virtually every way. I tested the Vista Beta's and used Vista prior to build 7068 of Windows 7, and haven't really had any major issue with Vista itself. However Windows 7 definitely offers a performance advantage and has some neat new features.

Microsoft is not allowing beta upgrades to RC. I would rather revert back to vista now than later.
