32-bit or 64-bit?

I just received Windows 7 Home Premium, but I'm not sure which version to install. I'm currently running 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium on an Acer Aspire laptop, 4GB of RAM and Inter Core dual processor of 1.67 GHz each.

Any tips?

Based just on RAM, go with 64 Bit.

TEWS was posting at the same time as me. Fill out your specs.

You could run 64 bit. But you really should check your hardware specs and make sure your devices have 64 bit drivers.

32 bit would be the safest option for you. Your machine wouldn't utilize all 4 gig of ram, but enough to run Windows 7 very smoothly.

Post a screen shot of the Graphics specs.

But so far it looks like you'll be ok for x64.

Sorry.....must have missed the graphics specs at first glance. I see them now.

Give the x64 install a try.
