The DVD does not have the ISO on it. I'm not quite sure why you need this, but here is a link to a tutorial to create the ISO: Bootable ISO - Create from Installation Files

It is easier than you think to create a bootable thumb drive. Seeing as you aalready have the installation files, all you need to do is use method 2 of this tutorial: USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

Basically, just make create a new Active partition on your thumb drive, and drag the installation files to it.

As said, putting Win7 on a USB is very easy.
Step 1: Prepare the USB stick (for this one there's a good tutorial)
Step 2: Drag and Drop everything from your Win7 DVD to the USB stick.

That's it: you will need a 4 GB usb stick

Thanks for the quick reply, but can you re-read my post?

I was wondering why it says "The file selected is not a valid ISO file. Please select a valid ISO file and try again" When i use that program provided in the tutorial.

I used the tutorial you provided in your first reply to create a bootable ISO from my genuine win7 64bit

    snoopy,
Help me out here. What is "it"? You speak of an "it" telling you that you do not have a valid ISO file.

I'm not sure. I haven't had very good luck with the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool either. I use a program called IsoRecorder instead.

    Snoopy Renegade,
This will cost you one DVD but will help to clear up some matters.

You have a .ISO file that you want to put onto a UFD (usb flash drive) but the program which you are using for such is complaining that the .ISO file isn't suitable for booting or something to that effect.

If, using Win 7, you right-click on the .ISO file in question, then the top choice will be "Burn disk image". Put a blank DVD into your optical drive.

Can Win7 burn the iso? Can you boot from the resulting DVD?

    Looking forward to your answers.
