Use Multiple Easy Transfer MIGs?

Hi all,
So, here's my situation:
Multi-boot machine with Windows XP and 7 Home Premium x86.
Linux(s) on another drive.
My dad just got a Home Premium with x64, so I wanted to upgrade mine to that. Only problem is that XP completely took over my MBR, and I'm getting sick of it. (I can't finish installation, and the Recovery Environment only sees my old installation. I don't feel like fixing it. I just want to dump XP.) (Don't worry about licensing, I already have that figured out.)

I already did an Easy Transfer to my external HDD of Home Premium x86.
Will I be able to make another MIG file from Windows XP, and restore BOTH MIG files into the new Home Premium x64 installation?
That's all!
Thanks in advance.

I dont think it will work, but I've never tried. You might find it easier to manually grab the docs, files, favs, etc that you want to migrate from your Dad's old system. I am assuming you want both accounts on that Windows 7 HP x64 machine...

Thanks for the reply.
(Just so you know, though, this was all taking place on 1 computer...WinXP and Windows 7 32-bit ALL to Windows 7 64-bit...I made 2 MIG files.)

It's a bit of a non-issue now. When I restored the Windows 7 one, it screwed up my sleep mode and image backup (both fail for an unknown reason), which was one reason I did a new install. I reinstalled the 64-bit and only did the transfer from XP....I didn't really need anything from the Windows 7 one anyways.

However, my computer won't sleep (again) or make a system image backup (again). Obviously, it was something that I have set up all of the time....Now what could that be....?
