    upgrade from 7057 to 7077


    Hello, I have windows 7 build 7057 32bit installed,
    will it make a difference if I updated it to 7077 32bit version, if this is possible in the first place .. ?

    I recommend you do a clean install!!..... However you should be ok if you upgrade.....

    I just went from build 7057 to build 7077 (64 bit) and I love it. A lot more stable, faster shutting down and starting up for me at least. I recommend also doing a clean install. The only problem I'm having right now is that I can't add a printer at all, but I don't think its 7, its probably me! :)

Are branch builds of RC1 capable of using windows update to bring it up to the later RC builds? or will it be like the beta's and require a fresh install or upgrade? I ask, because if 7057 is a RC branch build, then it would be convenient if I could just use windows update the rest of the time...

Hello just found this out, Build 7100 will allow upgrades after all but from build 7077 up only. Without having to edit install routine. Hope this helps.

so can i mount from 7077 and just run the install? or does it need fresh install?
Is anyone else having problems installing Windows Live components on these builds? Anytime I try to do an install, I get a "can't access the internet" message. If I install via a standalone installer, the program (MSN Live Messenger) works fine.
