Windows 7: Replace XP with 7 and keep RAID 10 setup

Replace XP with 7 and keep RAID 10 setup

My questions:
1. Should I just install Windows 7 onto the current XP partition, or format and install?
2. During install, when I have the option to "Load Drivers", should I skip that, load drivers that are intended for floppy disk*, or try to load the drivers that run from an Intel .exe file?

Mobo: Abit IX38 Quad GT, with Intel X38 chipset and Intel ICH9R controller.
CPU: Intel Core2Quad Pro Q6600

*Intel states in their RAID driver notes that it is not necessary to load the floppy-intended drivers with Windows 7, but I want to keep all data on the drives except the OS, and it's not clear whether they are talking about a new setup or a pre-configured RAID setup.

P.S. this is for a friend - up to me and I would ditch RAID!!
