    Windows 7 Installation HELP!!


    hi

    ive had windows 7 installed on my pc but my hdd became corrupt so i had to get a new one. i have no back up or recovery of anything.
    ive inserted the windows 7 disk and i get 'DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER'

    Any ideas?

    i have a Packard Bell iXtreme 9610

    It is still looking for the hard drive.

    If you have an F12 key during boot to select the DVD to boot first, use that.

    Otherwise, go into the bios and set the DVD first in the boot priority and then watch for the "Hit any key to Boot From DVD" message.

    its found the new hdd, tried that before and im still getting the same message.

    any other ideas?

    Can you boot your DVD drive from F12 key?

    done that and now in getting CDBOOT: couldn't find BOOTMGR

    Try burning your ISO.

    Take look in DVD & see if bootmgr is there.
