Maybe that's the reason...? Btw, my volume in Linux is RAID-ed using Linux RAID + LVM...

Ahhhh that may be...I did not think of that. Time for Google.

windows 2008 R2

Hope you guys could help me

I have a windows server 2008 R2 service pack 1

I have a two (2) 1 TB driver in a Raid array.

I just installed a new 2TB HD. I don't want this to be in the raid, but just need to format and use as storage.

The problem is I don't see this new Hard Drive in windows.

If i log in to LSI megaraid storage manager I see the 2TB drive as slot 2, SATA 1.8TB un-configured good.

My server is 2U Asus RS500-E6.

If i reboot the server I can press Ctrl + M and got to LSI raid configuration and I see the 2TB driver as well.

In the bios it says Raid

In the computer management under disk drives , there is a 1 entry LSI MegsSR SCSI Disk Drive.

Under Disk Management I don't see this new 2TB drive. What can I do please help.
