[PROBLEM] Cannot boot from USB for windows installation

    Hey guys,
From my windows DVD, I've made an ISO image of it so I can copy it fully onto my USB(making it an ONLY install USB). The copying process took about 1-2 hours. I checked if the file were all there and it was. I then attempted to boot it from USB at the start of computer. I chose BOOT MENU > USB DEVICE, it takes about 1 minute then it says "Selected device is not available - press F11 to try again and F12 for setup" I think it was like this."

The files were all there, with the autorun.inf and all codes are good but how come it won't boot? Please help if you know solution.

    Thanks you!

It does not take that long to put the files on the usb stick, mere minutes.

You do not copy the the iso files, you burn them.

Use Imgburn at 4x speed. I prefer PowerISO.

According to that tutorial, just put your dvd in the drive and copy all the files to the usb stick. No need to put the iso on the pc.

Try creating your installaion pendrive with WiNToBootic (only Windows 7/8 ), WiNToBootic - the ultimate Windows 7/8 USB Boot Disk Maker

The image source can be an ISO/DVD/Folder with bootable Windows content.

Just select quick format, drag and drop your source and click on Do it.

Provided your source is not corrupt, you should have your bootable installation pendrive in minutes.

Your ISO may not be intact. Use the latest official ISO for your licensed version written with the MS tool in Steps 1 and 2 of Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

The steps are good for retail as well, and will assure a perfect install if you stick with the tools and methods given.

Yes, I think it's the iso that's the problem. Is there a Factory OEM windows 8 for download?

No you will need to reinstall the licensed version which came with the PC as shown on the COA sticker on bottom or under battery. I gave you the download links and steps to get a perfect reinstall.

Otherwise you can buy a Win8 Upgrade online to run it once you have Win7 reinstalled.

    That's what I used.

Quick update guys, I've just burned the ISO on a DVD and it worked, so the ISO is not the problem. It must be the program that I used, but seriously, I think the program that I used in very correct and processes are simple.
