Receiving a "CD/DVD drivers not found" error

I am currently using a:
Gateway GM5478
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q660
Windows Vista 32 bit
I read that my chip set is able to handle a 64 bit OS and I purchased the 64 bit version of windows 7. When I boot from the disk it loads up and begins the setup installation, but as its starting I receive an error stating "CD/DVD drivers not installed." I am using an ASUS DVD drive and installed the latest drivers and am still receiving the error... any suggestions?

Welcome!

Try changing your SATA setting to AHCI in your BIOS, or IDE if it is already set to AHCI.
