    Upgrade or Full


    I am currently running the Win 7 RC. Do i need the upgrade or the full. I saw other threads but i did'nt understand them. Does anyone know which one i should get because my computer keeps shutting down every 2 hours and im tired of it.

    Yes the RC Win7 is expiring

    You can upgrade it with the Win7 Ultimate upgrade :)

    You can also downgrade using some of the tutorials here to a lesser version than ultimate. You can also do Clean installs with an upgrade version if read the custom ways to do it.

I just bought a factory sealed Windows 7 Ultimate Disc from craigslist for $40, thinking it was a full install DVD. But it says on cover 'Upgrade designed for Windows Vista'. I think this means it only installs over an existing copy of XP or Vista i.e. not a clean install on a new PC. Correct...
