    You should be able to simply delete the whole linux partition from within windows using the Drive management in system tools.

    However you have to be careful as linux may have taken over the whole boot system using grub to load both operating systems.

    Assuming you have a win7 install DVD you should be able to fix any problems by using the startup repair option

    First back-up your data and if possible save an image of your windows partition for safety

    Put the win7 dvd into the drive and boot the PC press any keys you need to boot from the DVD.

    Once in the install routine select repair option and then start-up repair and follow things through

    this should remove the linux boot - you can now use the disk management to delete the linux partition - (right click computer click manage) or with a third party tool

    Partition Wizard is a Magic Server Partition Manager Software for Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 and Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7.

    how to security delete linux

    Hi,Barman58
    I am sorry for my delay replying . firstly Thanks for your help.
    I tried to do as your said,but failed.
    The following is what I did:
    1, I deleted Linux partition from windows7, while I reboot, it showed me "grub>", and I can't start windows7.
    2, I used a "DOS " tool start DOS, and run the commmand "fdisk /mbr";
    3,then I reboot the system, while launnching windows7, it reminded me that "there is some error about windows7 start, please use windows7 CD to boot and repair"
    4, I used windows7 CD boot the system and repaired "start", "reparir and reboot";
    5,now, windows7 works well.
    Best Regards,
