Win 7 Pro 64bit. clean installation problem - updates

    Hi everybody.

I'm a little confused about installing Win 7 pro 64bit. to my PC offline. I don't have any opportunity to be online during the installation. Everything is fine, i formatted the drive, ran the installation, copying files, unpacking files, installing...everything worked fine. BUT, when the installation was about installing updates, it didn't do anything. The PC didn't freeze, mouse is moving, there are tree points behind the "installing updates" running. I know i'm offline, but what should I do to make it work?

    Thanks

    Welcome,

I want to be sure that I understand your situation. You install windows 7, while not online. The installation completes and everything is fine, except that you do not have updates. You are able to use the OS with not problem and you are able to go online. Is this correct?

That's not it:) I launch the installation, format the disk, and after that, new window appears. In that window, I can see the process of instalation.

First is "copying files" - that passes without any problem.
    Second "unpacking files" - OK
    "Installing files" -OK
"Installing updates" - here comes the problem. PC doesn't crash, mouse works, but after 2 hours, there is no change. So I'm stucked at this point of installation. I'm offline, but I think that it shouldn't be a problem.
    Sorry for my english.

    Please help.

    Thank you

If I remember correctly, when it comes time to install the updates, you are asked, do it now or later? Did you see this option? Did you choose later?.

It didn't ask me about installing updates, that's why i'm so confused. Other thing is, in that installation window, there is "installing updates" (point of installation, where nothing happens, even after 2 hours)...but how can they be installed when they aren't downloaded yet?

    I'm desperate now

    Thanks

The best remedy is to install online, but I understand in your circumstances that is a problem. Try this MS has an offline windows update. Try to download and install on your computer as directed, possibly that may work

download windows 7 updates to update windows 7 offline (not a question)

Are you not able to use the connection you're using to post here?

Here's a similar thread, let me know if it helps.

    Install stuck on "Installing Updates".

Well, I think I can't make online installation, cause I have USB modem, which needs drivers to run. When I download those offline updates, how can I make them install during the clean installation of win 7? I'll also try to push the "format" button twice, like I read in another thread (thanks for posting). If you have any others suggestions, please let me know.

    Thanks
