    Blue Screen during Dual boot. HELP


    Hi guys

    I'm following the Dual boot installation with Win7 installed first.
    See here: Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP

    I get to step 3 fine, When setup has loaded setup files from CD, I get a blue screen error.

    Are you following the warning in Step 3 to load SATA drivers?

    Nope, didnt really think id need to, but guess not.

    How would I get my SATA driver and find out which type it is?

    Ive fount out that its aSeagate Barracuda 7200.12 320GB Hard Disk

    No driver files fount on PC Manufacter site.

    Seagate has a download section for driver. Can somebody instruct what I do next?

    You need your Sata Controller drivers, not you HD drivers.

    Have a read of those tutorials:

    Use EasyBCD 2.0 in Win 7 & Win XP.

    Can you help me where to get the SATA Driver from? Sorry not very good with computers. Its an AMD one

    Doesnt give me any SATA drivers. Any other way to obtain them?

    You need find what SATA Contrroller you have.

New rig blue screen on boot

Hi everyone I recently decided to build my first rig… so far not entirely successful. Here is the thing when I turn it on I passes the bios thing and then it goes to the win7 screen and it freezes for a sec then a blue screen shows up for millisecond and resets.
